2,000 from 61 countries gather for WHC2023

Last November, the World Hindu Congress 2023 took place in Bangkok Thailand. Held every 4 years, the third Congress bought 2,000 delegates from across 61 countries to participate on discussions on the resurgence of Hindu Civilisation on the world stage. During the three day event, discusssions covered seven parallel themes impacting Hindus globally: the economy, politics, education, media, women, youth and temples/Hindu organisations. The Congress was inaugurated by Dr Mohan Bhagvat (head of the RSS), who shared insights into the Congress’s theme, “Jayasya Aayatnam Dharmah”, the role of Dharma in our journey to triumph.

Mata Amritanandmayi Devi, Swami Purnatmanand Maharaj (Bharat Sevasharam Sangh), and Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami (Kauai Aadheenam & Hinduism Today) were recognised for their contributions to the revival of Hinduism across the globe. Bangkok was chosen for the 2023 in recognition of the deep civilisational bonds between Bharat and the nations of South East Asia. These bonds where reflected in the message to the Congress by Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, who emphasised how Hindu values of non-violence, truth, tolerance and harmony can bring about peace to a world that is struggling with turmoil.
