Calls for action: Anti-Hindu Hate in Britain

The APPG* for British Hindus held an event in the Houses of Parliament to for the release of a report on Anti-Hindu Hatred. The report reveals that the Hindu voices are frequently ignored, misunderstood by policymakers, and British institutions, and distorted by the media to deny an issue exists with anti-Hindu hate, and instead misrepresent Hindus as violent and aggressive without evidence to substantiate this.

To accompany the report, there was a panel discussion with Prerna Bhardwaj, Dr Rishi Handa, Charlotte Littlewood and Prerna Bharadwaj, who gave their perspectives on the issue and potential solutions.

The event was hosted by Bob Blackman MP, and attended by members of the British Hindu community, Liz Twist (MP for Blaydon and Shadow Minister for Levelling Up, Housing, Communities and Local Government), Navendu Mishra (MP for Stockport), Theresa Villiers (MP for Chipping Barnet), Virendra Sharma (MP for Ealing Southall), Louie French (MP for Old Bexley and Sidcup), Baroness Verma and Lord Gadhia.
