Taking his oath on the Bhagavad Gita, Krish Raval OBE was appointed as Baron Raval, of Hertsmere in the County of Hertfordshire in the house of Lords on 29th January 2025. The Prime Minister nominated Krish for Peerage at the end of 2024 in recognition of his extensive contributions to leadership education and interfaith cohesion, for which he was also awarded an OBE back in 2018.
Krish is the Founder-Director of Faith in Leadership, a University of Oxford-based organisation dedicated to fostering interfaith relations and developing leadership capabilities within faith communities. As part of his work with Faith in Leadership, Krish was also involved in developing Varchasva; a youth leadership program specifically for British Hindus. In addition Krish has also chaired Labour Indians, an initiative that seeks to increase representation of the British Indians in the Labour Party.
Krish; a practising Hindu, has facilitated the College of Bishops, run the Muslim Youth Fellowship, and led the Teach to Lead programme for the London School of Jewish Studies, thus demonstrating his exceptional ability to foster trust across faith communities. He is a law graduate from Cambridge and Sheffield, has worked as a leadership consultant for Fortune 500 companies, and contributed to prestigious leadership initiatives like the Churchill Leadership Fellows and the Obama Foundation’s Leadership Programme.
